Ionic foot detox is the process of detoxifying the body by submerging the feet in a water solution and using an ionic foot detox machine. This detoxifying method is said able to produce negative and positive ions which stimulate the cells in the body. It also claims to help achieve body balance by excreting harmful toxins from the body.This can help prevent and manage several health problems especially those that are related to the colon.
The method of ionic foot detox is easy. The patient places her or his feet in the foot bath which contains water and salt. A special ionic footdetox unit is used to deliver electrical current through what is called the ionizer array that is placed into the water to produce positive and negative ions. The negative ions are absorbed through the pores of the feet, travel within the body and attach themselves to the toxins.

Who cannot have the treatment?
Foot detox is safe for most people. However, the following should not have the treatment:
Persons with pacemaker / metallic implants, or electromagnetic devices
Pregnancy/suspected pregnancy
Persons with implanted organs
Epileptics
Those undergoing radiation or chemotherapy
Persons with open wounds on their feet
Newly-operated persons (should wait until fully recovered or at least 6 weeks post op)
Seriously ill or very weak persons
Diabetic on insulin
